Lifeguard II

The lifeguard ii primarily assists the aquatic director in supervising the pool area, which includes coordinating lifeguard placement and rotations, and potentially opening or closing pools. This experienced staff member supports other aquatic staff by sharing knowledge of policies and procedures while modeling exemplary professional conduct.

Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old with at least two years of lifeguarding experience, holding current ymca lifeguard, cpr, aed, and first aid certifications. Candidates must be physically capable of performing all lifeguard skills and demonstrate the ability to recognize and respond to unsafe situations.
